November TBR

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas. I'm more than halfway through and I had planned to finish before October was over but it didn't happen. I should finish really soon though. God willing.

Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers. I know. This has been on my tbr for months now, but it's finally time. I'll need a post-Maas cleanse. 

On a Sunbeam by Tillie Walden. A total impulse purchase after seeing it on Twitter. But it's a graphic novel so it should fly by and will be a good way to boost that GR challenge number.

Empress of All Seasons by Emiko Jean. I don't usually reach for competition books but something about this one has been calling to me lately.

Imagine Us Happy by Jennifer Yu. It's been a while since I've read a sad contemporary and that is my true comfort zone. I've been looking at this for months and finally bit the bullet and purchased it this week.

The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton. I started reading this one months ago, and got about a quarter of the way through it. I was totally immersed in it, but then I had the first of 2 procedures done in the hospital and my reading fell by the wayside. Excited to keep reading this one.

The Fade by Demitria Lunetta. I was obsessed with her zombie duology several years back, and am very excited to read more of her words.

The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi. Um, just LOOK at this cover? Plus it sounds SO GOOD. I cannot wait to read this book.

Sawkill Girls by Claire LeGrand. I'm a little apprehensive about this book, but I am a sucker for girls who fight for what they believe in.

Broken Things by Lauren Oliver. I'm really nervous about this one because I've struck out on most of Oliver's books, but I am a big sucker for murder mysteries. And it sounds like there's more than meets the eye with this one.

August TBR

Toil & Trouble edited by Jessica Spotswood and Tess Sharpe. I wasn't really sure about this at first because I just don't do anthologies well. I can't think of any I've loved. But it's been calling to me. So I started it a couple days ago, and I absolutely love it. Love. It. 

Sadie by Courtney Summers. I honestly can't believe I haven't read this yet, since I've had it for so long. I loved All The Rage, so I have high hopes for this one, especially with its alternative format.

His Fair Assassin Series by Robin LaFevers. August kind of went off the rails a bit so I'm rolling this series over into my September TBR, including Courting Darkness. I haven't had a reread in a while and if you didn't know, this is an all time favorite for me.

A Room Away From the Wolves by Nova Ren Suma. She's one of my very favorite authors; nothing has ever gotten less than a 5 stars from me. Obviously I'm going to read this.

City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab. I waffled a bit with this one too, this time because I don't love middle grade. But sometimes a book just calls to you and demands to be read.

Pulp by Robin Talley. I am such a diehard fan of anything Talley writes and I am SO excited for this book. I have a ton of faith in Talley's books.

Sadie by Courtney Summers. Considering the fact that I am on the blog tour for this book, I should probably hurry up and read it, right? Plus Summers' books have never disappointed me.

A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi. This book may be a tad fluffier than I usually read, but because Mafi wrote it, I really need to read it. Plus I don't think I've read a book set so close to 9/11 with a Muslim girl as the MC. This book might kill me.

After the Fire by Will Hill. I've always been fascinated by cults and when I saw the synopsis for this book, I knew I had to read it. I wanted to get to it in August, but I just never did. So I'm making it a priority for September.

What If It's Us by Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera. I am VERY nervous about this book because I love Albertalli's books, but I just DNFed my first Silvera book. My feelings about this book might very well fall somewhere in the middle which just makes me really sad, because it sounds amazing and I really want to love it.

His Fair Assassin Series by Robin LaFevers. I AM SO HAPPY. This is one of my all-time favorite series, like soul-favorites, books of my heart, and there's going to be a new one! And I have an ARC! I am so happy. 

Splendor and Spaker by Mary Taranta. I actually plan to reread Shimmer and Burn as well but there was only so much room lol. Another sequel I've been dying for!

1. Seafire by Natalie C. Parker. I actually just won this book in a giveaway and since it comes out in August, I am pushing it up to the top of the list. Plus, I've enjoyed Parker's work in the past.

2. I Am Still Alive by Kate Marshall. I knew nothing about this book until last month. Not enough books are set in Alaska, so I'm stoked. This is slightly out of my comfort zone, but I still cannot wait.

3. Heretics Anonymous by Katie Henry. It's finally time to read this one. This looks like a book I really could have used in my teen years. I've heard good things about it, so I'm hoping I love it.

4. One Of Us is Lying by Karen McManus. I started this one ages ago, but I wasn't in the mood. Definitely looking forward to picking this one back up in August.

5. The Girl With the Red Balloon by Katherine Locke. I also started this one ages ago, but again, I was not in the mood for it. From what I remember, it started off really intriguing, so I'm hoping it's still got that intrigue for me.

July TBR

 1. Bright We Burn by Kiersten White. It's finally time! I've been waiting on the edge of my seat for a YEAR to finally read this conclusion to one of my all time favorite series. I'm not ready but also I'M SO READY.

2. Sea Witch by Sarah Henning. An Ursula origin story!! It doesn't get more intriguing than that, people.

3. Contagion by Erin Bowman. There's a plague of some kind and that's all I know. That's all I need to know. I haven't read a book like this in a while and I am so excited.

4. Notes From My Captivity by Kathy Parks. Another subgenre I haven't read from in quite some time. I hope it will be a good refresher or palate cleanser next to all these science fiction and fantasy titles.

5. The Poppy War by RF Kuang. I've been hearing nothing but amazing things about this book and after the kerfuffle on twitter, I wanted to support this author. I can't wait to read this!

1. The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. This book is LONG overdue for a read. I have no excuses for not starting this series yet. I hope I enjoy it this month.

2. The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson. Yet another series that I am planning to start this month. Like the first book on this list, I really hope I enjoy this series.
3. Heart of Thorns by Bree Barton. Apparently, this month will be a heavy non-contemporary month. Excited for this one even though fantasy can be a hit or miss for me.

4. The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli. I'll be doing the audiobook of this one while I recover from surgery. I think it was Cody that recommended that. I did try to get into this book before, but for some reason, it wasn't the right time.

5. Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer. I have a HUGE backlog of review books and this one is one of those that I was SO EXCITED about at first, but I still haven't read it. I've heard that it's an emotional read so I'm nervous but hopeful.

 1. Daughters of the Storm by Kim Wilkins
This is my current read and I am totally obsessed. I wish there was more hype around it because in my opinion, it has everything. Politics, magic, intrigue, mystery, romance. I love it.

2. Call Me By Your Name by Andre Aciman
 I've wanted to read this for a long time now, and what better time than pride month?

3. Undead Girl Gang by Lily Anderson
This is one of my most-anticipated titles of the year. I unfortunately have to wait a minute to read it because I'm getting an annotated version, so it's taking a bit longer to get to. But I can't wait!

4. In Other Lands by Sarah Rees Brennan
 A handful of my friends are entirely too obsessed with this book so it's time to jump on the bandwagon and see what the fuss is about.

5. The Accidental Bad Girl by Maxine Kaplan
 I haven't read a good YA thriller in a little while so it's time. This one comes highly recommended from a few trusted sources, too, so that's a plus!

1. The Gentlemans Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee
 This one has been on my Kindle forever and I am in desperate need of a banter-y romance.

2. The Last Summer of the Garrett Girls by Jessica Spotswood
 Since summer is almost here, what better way to celebrate that than with a summer book about sisters.

3. What If it's Us by Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera
One of my most anticipated reads and a great way to celebrate Pride month.

4. Georgia Peaches and Other Forbbiden Fruit by Jayne Robin Brown
I've also had this book on my Kindle forever, and every once and awhile I get the itch to read it. Now's the time and I cannot wait.

5. A Darkly Beating Heart by Lindsay Smith

I've been super excited about this book for ages, but since two of my favorite people had such drastically different feelings about it, I've been putting it off. Not anymore!

 1. The Brightsiders by Jen Wilde
I really, really loved Queens of Geek and I can't wait to read more wondrous bisexual representation and famous teenagers.

2. Let Me Lie by Clare Mackintosh
 I haven't read a good adult thriller in a while. They've been leaving me bitterly disappointed lately. But I still have high hopes for this one!

3. Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian
I've heard so many good things about this! I've been reading plenty of SFF lately but this feels like that classic YA royalty fantasy that I sometimes crave.

4. Beyond a Darkened Shore by Jessica Leake
 I just read Sky in the Deep, another Viking-ish fantasy, and so I'm pumped and ready for this one.

5. Isle of Blood and Stone by Makiia Lucier
 I don't know a TON about this except there are riddles and maps and uncharted territories and who doesn't love all of that?

1. Furyborn by Claire LeGrand

I was not 100% sold on this book until I talked to a blogger who told me that this book needed to go on my April TBR. After rereading the synopsis for it, I cannot wait to dive in.

2. Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake
It's about time I read this book. Especially now that the full series is out, i can get the other books in this series right away if I like book one. Really hoping I love book one because dark fantasy is my jam (and I don't even LIKE fantasy that much)

3. Song of the Current by Sarah Tolcser
I was recently auto approved by Bloomsbury on Netgalley, so if I like this book, I can just go ahead and grab the sequel right away and I won't have to wait. Plus, I've been really curious about this book.

4. Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst
This book is too hyped up in my head. I need to read it NOW and stop hyping it up in case I don't enjoy it as much as I am hoping to.

5. Mask of Shadows by Linsey Miller
I need to read this book and I cannot believe I haven't read it yet. I've had it on my Kindle for MONTHS. Ugh, I hate that I haven't read this one yet. I've heard great things about it.
